Sequestered and isolated. The tension of fixed Landscape relative to the immediate movement of clouds express alternative narratives.
Landscape is status quo; fixed, grounded, evolutionarily tectonic. Clouds morph as we watch, expressing in view history, the continuum of the present, and what will come downwind. Same water, wind, landscape but altered. There is more sky than landscape in my window. Clouds aren’t at risk. In the aggregate, the earth does not create nor destroy water; its amount is fixed. It only moves. Different while safe.
The overall amount of water on our planet has remained the same for two billion years. In a 100-year period, a water molecule spends 98 years in the ocean, 20 months as ice, about 2 weeks in lakes and rivers, and less than a week in the atmosphere.
